AutoProtect Group Agrees Its Largest Ever Partnership

AutoProtect Group has partnered with Group 1 Automotive UK to continue the supply of insurance products to car buyers across the UK.

The announcement, which builds on a partnership dating back to 2015, will see AutoProtect now collaborating with all of Group 1 Automotive’s retailers to deliver GAP, SMART, Tyre and Alloy Wheel insurance across all their UK stores.

Reflecting on the agreement, Mark Needham, Head of Finance and Insurance at Group 1 Automotive, notes;

“Our business has grown significantly over the last 12 months; at the same time, the F&I landscape has also seen major changes. We need to ensure our added-value proposition grows and that it does so in a compliant, high-integrity manner. We’re pleased to continue our partnership with AutoProtect to help us deliver our targets sustainably.”

A key aspect of the partnership was ensuring a consistent, compliant approach to promoting the value-added product portfolio. AutoProtect’s strategic account management team, lead by Director of Strategic Partnerships, Dean Connolly, has developed an extensive, measurable training programme that has been delivered with a laser focus on helping customers choose added-value products they understand and value whilst ensuring Consumer Duty is at the forefront of the strategy.

As Mike Edwards, Chief Revenue Officer at AutoProtect, concludes, reacting to market changes and the scale of the Group 1 Automotive UK opportunity says much for the relationship forged over the last ten years;
