A New Chapter for iComply, Greater Collaboration for AutoProtect

Date: Thu 7th August 2025   |   Author: Kate Guckian

AutoProtect is pleased to announce an exciting development for our dealer partners and the future of compliance support within automotive retail.

The Partnership

As of 31 July, AutoProtect formed an exciting new partnership with Automotive Compliance.

The collaboration will see two businesses harness their specialisms to present a dealer proposition with a sharper focus and more robust governance and oversight.

Strength in Specialism

The move will condense our focus and allow us to concentrate on our core offering – high quality value-added products and vehicle warranties.

It also reflects a recognition that as a business solely focused on dealer compliance, Automotive Compliance, is well placed to provide dealers with an authentic level of care, insight and expertise, most appropriate to the evolving regulatory landscape.

We believe this partnership will unlock a synergy to rival any other. With AutoProtect’s 20+ years of experience combined with Automotive Compliance’s 18 years, together we provide better support to dealers than we were able to as individual businesses operating independently.

Reflecting on the move, Mike Edwards, Chief Revenue Officer, noted:

“I remember an anecdote from a conference I attended a few years back. Alex Matthews, now of Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Canada, shared an interesting analogy about the Ostrich and the Zebra. Each contributing something different to enable both animals to thrive.

The benefits of the collaboration and mutualistic relationship between these animals is how I see our new venture with Automotive Compliance.

When it comes to compliance, I think it takes true specialism to be able to provide the rigour needed to satisfy market demands”.

A New Chapter for iComply

To achieve this partnership, we have transferred iComply, the compliance consultancy arm of AutoProtect Group, along with AutoProtect’s AR network, to Automotive Compliance.

The transfer includes:

  • All compliance consultancy services previously provided under the iComply brand
  • The AutoProtect Appointed Representative network
  • Our knowledgeable and experienced iComply field team, who will continue to support dealers directly.

The Impact for Dealers

The early dealer reaction to move has been overwhelmingly positive. Many have welcomed the move as a logical and beneficial step, and we’re delighted that this confidence is being echoed across the network.

Now that the transfer of iComply to Automotive Compliance is complete, dealers will retain the same people, the same systems, and the same processes for the first 12 months for maximum stability.

We’re confident that this partnership will send a strong signal to the market regarding our laser focus on being easier to do business with and operationally excellent.

We look forward to this new collaborative chapter allowing us to focus on delivering the very best for automotive retail.
