Marketing and Communications Executive

AutoProtect is looking to recruit an experienced Marketing and Communications Executive. This is a key role within Creative Services and you will be based in Harlow supporting the Head of Creative Services, senior management and sales in all marketing, branding and communication tasks.

The Role

The person we're looking for is responsible for managing all national marketing activity and projects, supporting our client network supplying POS materials, on and offline marketing collateral, and implementation of localised and national marketing campaigns. This role is also responsible for coordinating events and exhibitions.


  • Identifying opportunities, helping define and implement marketing strategies.
  • Responsible for providing clients with POS materials including production of all printed and promotional items.
  • Briefing internal creatives and managing print deadlines with external printing companies.
  • Copy writing of on and offline marketing materials.
  • Proof reading.
  • Driving a compelling marketing plan for to drive awareness – PR and press advertising.
  • Defining and implementing online, digital and social strategy.
  • Website management and maintenance, in terms of structure and content.
  • Ensuring aligned and sustainable branding strategy implementation.
  • Writing campaign reports as required; gathering of marketing evidence/analysis.
  • Responsible for internal communications to sales staff and other internal departments including intranet and weekly emails.
  • Coordinate local, social responsibility campaign.
  • Coordination of national sales events and exhibitions when required.
  • Other reasonable duties as required.

Knowledge and Experience:

As a motivated professional, you bring at least three years of experience in marketing operations in a preferably sales-led environment.

You are creative, tech savvy, analytical and a good team player with great communication skills and a results-driven approach towards problem solving.

You have proven project management skills with strong attention to detail. Furthermore, you possess a creative, strategic and agile mind-set accompanied by a proactive, hands on approach.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Understand and work within the AutoProtect values.
  • Demonstrable ability to work confidently and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Confidence to manage a small team: designer and two marketing assistants.
  • Ability to use initiative and work autonomously as well as in a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • High level of literacy and grammar.
  • Demonstrable creative ability.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Previous experiences working with agencies an advantage.
  • Ability to multi-task and problem-solve.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a keen eye for detail.
  • A good understanding of integrated marketing operations.
  • Experience of automotive market an advantage.
  • Strong budget management skills.

Based in Harlow, this is a full-time role, 35 hours per week, Mon-Fri.

We work out of great, modern offices just outside of Harlow town centre with plenty of parking and all the facilities we need to make an enjoyable, supportive workplace.

In return for your commitment, energy and ideas, we pay a very competitive basic salary.

Our teams work standard office hours from 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday as well as covering Saturday morning on a rota; typically working one in every four weeks.
